Emilio Said (Mexico City, 1970) studied at the La Esmeralda National School of Painting, Sculpture and Engraving; at the National Center for the Arts, Mexico and is currently a member of the National System of Art Creators. Multidisciplinary artist who is not limited to traditional pictorial media, but who looks for other elements and technical resources, in such a way that the works are more similar to photography, sculpture or installation. In his work he deals with issues such as the relationship between man and space and the way we locate our environment, the specialty and the elements that coexist in each painting. His work is representative of abstract expressionism, far from proposing ordered readings in his paintings, the works work coaxially, placing the focal dislocation point, almost without variation, in the second third of its components. Emilio has exhibited his work individually and collectively in the following cities: Berlin, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Bremen, Paris, San Remy, Vienna, Salzburg, Brussels, Budapest, Madrid, Barcelona, Oviedo, Bolzano, Trieste, Warsaw, Finland, Basel, Prague, Kyoto, Osaka, Singapore, Seoul, Hong Kong, Ottawa, Chicago, Kansas, Washington and New York (among others). His work reflects the paths of an artist who transits freely between painting, expanded graphics, architecture, sound art, interventions for a specific site and the discipline of architecture, generating, in each movement, new rhizomatic shoots; new growth possibilities for work and thought. Member of the National System of Creators FONCA.
