Mérida Yucatán, 1987. Photographer and visual artist. She currently resides in the City of Merida. She studied Communication Sciences Universidad Anahuac and Photography at the New England School of Photography. She has recently exhibited at the ´Los Pinos Cultural Center, Fotomexio 2019 Award, Solo show at the Obra Negra Gallery, as well as at Apartaco CDMX, The Other Art Fair NYC, Gericke / Paffrath Gallery Germany, Paris and his last show in her hometown Mérida "Al ras del cielo". She has also participated in different fairs. She has collaborated with various magazines such as Cuartoscuro, National Georaphic, Huffpost, Saatchi Art, Artsy among others. Her work has been focused on women as the physical or symbolic protagonist in various series of photographs. Torre uses irony, social, regional and international stereotypes to show everyday life as a series of details that the viewer can relate to through memory or their day-to-day life. She is currently doing a series of photographic and installation works where color is used as a trigger for content. Her work also experiments with light and the ability to transform objects on a two-dimensional and three-dimensional level.
