PROYECTO PARALELO it was established as a versatile and purposeful space for contemporary art in the city of Mérida. The project is the initiative of Mr. Mario Torre in an effort to extend the scope of art from Galería México; to venture into new horizons for culture and to contribute to the construction of thought and identity. We promote culture by uniting diverse audiences in dialogue with artists, both inhabiting a space that has hybrid qualities: between Museum, Cultural Center, Industrial Space for Art, Experimental Art Laboratory and so on that has yet to be written. As an artist I contemplate and embrace the reality we live in, no matter how difficult it may seem, it is the sign that in moments of crisis it is favorable to find new paths and possibilities to evolve as a society and individuals. It is proof that what we build together has the deep meaning of the word Community. It is finally the way of seeing the future, of honoring and sharing life.
