Stefanie Schikora
Stefanie Schikora was born on the eighth of May, 1966, in Mannheim, Germany. In 1986 she concluded her Bachelor of Arts, specializing in art and design and, afterwards, studied Graphic Design at the Wiesbaden Art College. During her studies her artistic talent and her passion for painting, drawing and illustration became evident. In 1991, after graduating from the Wiesbaden Art College, she enrolled at the College of Fashion Design in Hamburg, with special emphasis on drawing, painting and illustration. In 1994 she graduated and started working as a freelance painter. She had her first individual and group expositions after 1991 and also collaborated for the first time as a designer in a Public Relations Agency in Germany. A trip to Mexico in 1993 motivated her to move to Merida , where she has been living since 1994, working as an artist and in the fields of design, murals, illustration and teaching. Since then, she has had over 70 individual and group expositions.
